ADIABATIC COOLING is a Hybrid cooling system using closed circuit ambient air, which works in conjunction with
1. Water-to-air heat exchanger (radiator)
2. Axial fans for forced air convection.
3. An adiabatic system for air pre-cooling during hot weather
4. An intelligent control panel to optimize the system
The increasing shortage of water resources, the difficulty in finding them and the constantly increasing costs are pushing the industry towards this new technology, able to save up to 95% of water: adiabatic cooling. This technology also provides greater efficiency in heat transfer, reduced maintenance and the total absence of polluting chemical agents.
“Dry” Mode: Most of the year, the unit works as a conventional dry cooler, with no water consumption and the heat of the process water is dissipated in the ambient air by convection of the air forced by the fans.
“Adiabatic” Mode: During high ambient temperature, when the dry mode does not suffice to maintain the outlet water temperature within a pre-set maximum set point, the adiabatic mode is automatically takes over. The high temperature ambient air, before entering the finned exchanger, passes through the “adiabatic chamber” where moistened air is added and consequently it is pre-cooled. In this case, the control system continuously
Intermittent Systems: The intelligent control panels derive these basic inputs to drive the system intermittently to regulate the quantity of water evaporation, only when necessary, to maintain the desired set point. The combo of dry & wet mode makes the system a hybrid system. The systems offered are custom oriented/ designed to accommodate CT Footprint, water & power consumptions.

Dry Cooling Tower
The fluid coils of international standards are designed and selected through software providing accurate data on thermal transfer rate based on which they are manufactured.
The tower designed incorporates the shell and tube designed with copper tubing and aluminum foil fins.
The water losses are 0.01% since, the circuits are of the closed loop type and the towers are most space saving / energy efficient once. They are best suited for applications such as Furnace coil water cooling, D/G Sets, Compressors.
The fans are of aluminum die cast with adjustable pitch and are individually tested for different flow rates. They are all dynamically balanced. Since, the complete fan is of Aluminum Alloy / Plastic it does not corrode when used in outdoor applications.
Dry cooling towers are in a single unit can be provided in capacities from 1000 kw to 1500 kw and they can be multiplexed to reach many thousand or kilowatts.

CTI Certified- Cross Flow Cooling Tower
The tower design incorporates a FRP distribution basin with number of flower type target nozzles in it and is located at the tower top.
The water, by gravity, is dispersed over the fill media uniformly and water is allowed to pass vertically down along the honeycomb fills.
The fan coupled directly to the motor is placed horizontally to draw air across the fill media. A small portion of water is evaporated which removes the heat from the remaining water. In warm moist air is drawn to the horizontally placed fan / motor and is discharged through the fan deck, to the atmosphere.
The resultant cold water is collected at the cooling tower collection sump from where it is re-circulated to the application.
